Atleast 4 peoples dead, 7 injured as Fire breaks out in Mumbai’s Marol

Four people, including an eight-year-old boy, died in a fire that broke out in a residential apartment building in Mumbai’s Marol on Thursday morning.

According to BMC Disaster Control, the blaze was reported at around 2 am in Maimunna Building in the sprawling Bohra Colony.


At least 9 people trapped in the burning apartment were rescued by firefighters, of which 4 were dead and the rest injured.

The fire was brought under control by 5 am and fully extinguished later.

The cause of fire needs to be investigated.

The fire came less than a week after 14 people have died in a fire that broke out in the Kamala Mills compound.
